Drawings of Cristino de Vera, Guillermo Pérez Villalta and Xavier Valls

Text of the catalogue: Enrique Andrés Ruiz. Poet, writer, critic.

Write Guillermo Pérez Villalta (GPV) in his autobiography Mirror memory (Editions Mechanical Mole, 2020) that “the drawing lacks the color tones which make it more vivid the beauty of the light and the atmosphere, that feeling metaphysical away from the time of the transient and of the contemplative. Some artists, such as Seurat and Bonnard, showed me the path. Also it gave me feelings several Spanish artists of the TWENTIETH century, as Cristino de Vera or Xavier Valls, unjustly forgotten by the critics”.
