Carmen Calvo

ARTISTA INCLASIFICABLE, ÚNICA, CREADORA DE UN LENGUAJE POÉTICO PROPIO Y DE UN UNIVERSO PLÁSTICO INQUIETANTE Y SORPRENDENTE.

Carmen Calvo (Valencia, 1950) is an artist difficult to categorize, although his experimental in nature, and their tendency to merge techniques, media, and the media will link with the ideas of surreal. Influenced by texts of thinkers and poets such as Braun, Pessoa, Eluard, Rimbaud, Lorca and Buñuel and nourished both by the images that are part of our visual memory as one's own the History of Art, Carmen Calvo produces a work that examines, questions and interrogate the various forms of behavior and relationship of the human being. The end result is a work visually stunning –lush and baroque a few times, neat and minimalist, other, poetic and incisive forever, able to transmit a calculated lack of definition in the spectator, who will continue to nurture and processed inside the feelings, emotions, and ideas generated by their works.
