BROTO PRESENTED IN THE ART GALLERY FERN\u00c1NDEZ-BRASO DE MADRID DRY ARABESQUES<\/em>IN HER NEW SERIES OF ABSTRACT PAINTINGS.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition of Jos\u00e9 Manuel Broto (Zaragoza, 1949) consists of a thirty acrylic paintings on canvas and paper, created by the artist during 2013 and that delves into the idea of the specificity of the painting and the abstract language as a medium of free expression and independent of reality.<\/p>\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the S-seriesechoes arabesques<\/em>there is a desire to move beyond a proposed measure, and balanced. The painting tends to be too heavy, to occupy the whole surface of the box. There are No empty spaces or areas in white. There are No rest areas or reasons that may be distracting. There is also no structures on which to settle or straight lines to the face. There is a beginning and an end recognizable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The surface of the box is covered by gestures parallel and random that respond to the beat pictorial artist, creating forms that tend to be organic and that generate compositions of great dynamism and expressiveness. This trend of the baroque is accentuated through the use and combination of bright colours and intense, forcing as much as possible harmony between them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The result is a set of paintings that attempts to place the viewer in front of a plastic universe is not recognizable or subject to the laws of the visible world around us. No arguments. No issues. Without speeches. Without politics. Through these paintings Broto materializes a place of encounter between the work and the viewer that serves as a refuge from the present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jos\u00e9 Manuel Broto lives and works in Mallorca. Since its beginnings has made more than a hundred and sixty solo exhibitions and nearly four hundred collective. His paintings are in museums and major collections, and has received numerous awards and distinctions, among which include: the 1988 Grand Prix du Salon de Montrouge, 1995 National Prize for Fine Arts, 1996 Corresponding Academic of the Royal Academy of fine and Fine Arts of San Luis, 1997 ARCO Award of the Association of Critics, 2003 Gold Medal of the City of Zaragoza and award Aragon Goya Etching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently presents the exhibition Large sheet music<\/em> at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Es Baluard in Palma de Mallorca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exposure of Broto opens next Thursday, November 14, 2013 and will be open until January 4, 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n
