Felix de la Concha

Born in León in 1962 and studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Madrid until 1985, the year in which it is awarded in the First exhibition of Young Art. In 1989 he received the scholarship of the Academy of Spain in Rome, and currently resides in Italy until 1995, the year that he moved to the united States where he fixed his residence, and continues his artistic career.

Biography

  • Felix de la Concha

     Born in León in 1962 and studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Madrid until 1985, the year in which it is awarded in the First exhibition of Young Art.

    In 1989 he received the scholarship of the Academy of Spain in Rome, and currently resides in Italy until 1995, the year that he moved to the united States where he fixed his residence, and continues his artistic career.

    His pictorial work part of the natural and focuses on the genre of the urban landscape and portrait. In both introduces the temporal concept as the basis both in the process of execution, as in the uptake of the reasons.

    Often are structured in polípticos or series. His dedication to specific projects it takes to stay a long period of time, sometimes several years ago, in the place where the paints. In the portrait experience with performative interventions that allow you to carry to an extreme the experience of the viewer, as with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra (Toledo Museum of Art, 2012).
