Exposure tribute to J. M. Caballero Bonald, one of the literary personalities most important in our country, and a contributor to the mid-70's Magazine of the Arts Guadalimar, founded and edited by Miguel Fernández-Braso. The exhibition, entitled as his latest book, Desaprendizajes, it is formed by a selection of gallery artists along with a number of photographers who collaborated with Bonald in various editorial projects, such as Tail, Masats or Navia, as well as other that was portrayed over time, as Chema Conesa and Daniel Mordzinski or own Tail.

Tribute to J. M. Caballero Bonald
Coinciding with the exhibition annual collective art gallery Fernández-Braso organized every year by these dates, we honor J. M. Caballero Bonald (Jerez de la Frontera, 1926), one of the literary personalities most important in our country whose latest book -which gives its title to the exhibition-, Desaprendizajes, was published by Seix Barral in 2015.
This exhibition continues the series of collective exhibitions dedicated to poets made in this gallery from the year 2015, when we started with Luis Cernuda and The Reality and Desire, followed by The names and stainsdedicated to José Miguel Ullán, in 2016.
José Manuel Caballero Bonald, poet called generation of the 50's and deep knowledge of the culture, the history and the Spanish arts, collaborated in the mid 70's in the Magazine of the Arts Guadalimarfounded and edited by Miguel Fernández-Braso at that time. Cuixart, Mignoni, Tàpies or Sempere, were some of the artists on that Bonald projected his unique way of understanding and analyzing the contemporary art of his time. This collaboration was made at the same time that he published his poetic work –Discredit the hero it is of 1977 - and was part of a trend for the writing more analytical and descriptive, more narrative and historians, as a complement or extension to, or as antithesis releasing their poetic work.
The exhibition focuses on artists who regularly show their work at the gallery, through a special selection of works of Alcain, Broto, Rose-Brun, Gerardo Delgado, Feito, Thousands, Miquel Navarro, Ràfols Casamada, Alberto Reguera, Rivera, Eduardo Sanz, Saura, antoni Tàpies, Cristino de Vera and Xavier Valls. Along with the work of the artists of the gallery will exhibit the work of a number of photographers who performed editorial projects sets with Caballero Bonald, such as Tri - (Lights and shadows of flamenco, 1975), Ramón Masats (Andalusia, 1989), or José Manuel Navia (A Madrid literary, 2009). The exhibition is complemented with a series of portraits of Bonald made over time by some of the most significant photographers dedicated to this field, as Chema Conesa, Daniel Mordzinski or own Tail. Among the works are collated texts of Bonald belonging to his book Desaprendizajes.
In 2010 M. Caballero Bonald published his first book of poetry in 1952, having for title The divinations. His poetic work is gathered together in We are the time we have leftalso published by Seix Barral. In the field of narrative highlights Agate, cat's eye, 1974, and his books of memories gathered in The novel of the memory, 2010. In 2017, after the age of 90 years, published Review of sugar, a book of biographical sketches of literature. In 2012 he was awarded the Cervantes Prize. He received the Award for Criticism three times, Biblioteca Breve Prize, Prizes, Andalusia of the Letters, Award Plaza & Janés, Queen Sofia Prize, National Prize for Letters, Award García Lorca and the National Poetry Award.
The exhibition starts next Thursday, January 12, with the presence of J. M. Caballero Bonald and the artists who are part of the exhibition. The closing will take place on march 4, 2017.
